A big welcome to Peter Garretson.  He came to us from a farm in Central Wisconsin and now he and his wife, Carole reside in Bloomington.  Peter brings with him wisdom and a heart of gold.  He recently completed the peer Facilitator workshop at Roudebush VA Hospital and with his experience he adds more variety to our meetings.  Thank you Peter for your service and continued service helping other veterans.

About Me and My Family and other Bloomington Peer Facilitators

My name is Terri Lynn Languell, I am a Veteran of  the US Army where I served, as a Military Police Woman.  I have two sons, Kylan and Eric and three wonderful grandchildren, Lexie, Cole ,and Milah.

My parents are Henry and Irene Baugh of Ellettsville, IN.

I am the eldest of four children.  Three girls, myself, Dee Dee and Cathi, and one brother, Hank.

I am currently a senior in College at Oakland City University expecting to graduate December 2012.

I am also a member Hoosier Honor Flight Program,  OMAD  (Operation Military Appreciation Day) and volunteer as a Vet to Vet Peer Facilitator. I teach CPR/First Aid, and I attend "Turning Point Church"  in Ellettsville.

Vet to Vet Bloomington is also involved with mentoring for the newly developing veterans court in Monroe County.  Judge Terry Harper will be heading up this project.

My passion is helping Veterans in anyway possible!

I joined the Army in the 70's serving one term and receiving an honorable discharge.

My youngest sister, Cathi,  joined the Army in the 80's serving one term and receiving an honorable discharge.  She continued her service with the National Guard.  As her retirement date passed, she was called to active duty and deployed to Afghanistan.   Her mission was to train the Afghan Military Army.

After she returned home and retired from the military she joined the Veterans of Foreign War.  She was immediately voted in as Jr. Vice Commander and this year she was voted in as Commander.  Post 604  is the oldest VFW post  in our state and she is our First Female Commander.  (I just had to brag!)

Note:  Cathi has completed her training at Roudebush and is an official Vet to Vet Peer Facilitator.  She is a great help to our Bloomington Group.   Thanks Cathi...
